Davis Family Reunion 2002
Jim Davis: Roseanne had back surgery in April due to a slipped disc and has been doing well since the surgery. She is in rehab and is doing very well with procedures used. Anne is a senior and going out for cross-country. Ryan is going to regular school. He will be a sophomore. Carol is in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s. She is in Huntington. Anne is in Belgium with her husband. Ken is doing well in NC. Mat is working full time with IBM. Kay is a teacher in the Monroe school system. Nathan finished welding school & is working full time. Mike graduated from college in May and is working as a computer consultant. Fred is doing well. Carey has two daughters and Chris is having a child “soon”. Caroline & Rod have started a new business, and the website is www.reboundsystems.com. Marge turned 75. Amy visited mom & dad and has an “empty nest”. Otherwise, is doing okay. Ron & Barb: For Tim & Pat the plant is shut down. Tim is working for Honeywell. Pat is taking classes to be a pharmacy technician. Holly is living at Barby Lake in IN and is working for a private golf course. Tiffany is getting married 8/31, and will be finishing school. Tara is working with a different vet. Heidi is still at LA working for Planned Parenthood and just got a recent promotion. Heidi took Barb to CO on a trip that she had won. Jeff left his job, and is working for the County with placement for the foster care of children. Marie is working part time with a temp. agency. Amanda is taking dance lessons and is four years old. Barb is still working through problems. Tried to collect venison the hard way while driving through Utah. Will be great grandparents soon.
Joan Davis: Larry sold the business to Wes last year. Larry is in the Insurance business. Wes is engaged to be married. Stacey is in law school. Claudia’s son, Nathan, had a bad car accident and is doing well. Mandy and Jennifer are starting college. Jason is looking for a job. Julie sold her house and is getting ready to move. Josh is at Washington DC and working. He just managed to get out on 9/11 on first day at his job. Julie & Sue are celebrating 25 th wedding anniversaries. Shelly is going to be single again. Sue is moving to Big Long Lake and is still teaching at Blackhawk. Shelly has been home schooling.
Dean Davis: Had a bad ice storm in January and finally used a chain saw to get limbs out in June, finally. Greg is in Guam without power due to a typhoon going through in July. Steve started a job with Cummins Tool and will be the manager with a new store. Penny is working for the same company. Cindy is status quo. The boys are active in sports. John is still with Nortel. Gerry is having problems with arthritis and bursitis. The business has been sold to a national concern. I will be working as a sales rep. for the personal accounts. This is the 40 th branch of the company.
$211.00 was collected for next year’s reunion.
Roger Blaine volunteered for another two-year term as family president, with his brother Bob as secretary. Mike Davis offered his help with the website.
