Davis Reunion for 2003
Roger Blaine called the meeting to order. The reunion was being held at the lower level of the Psi Ota at Northside Park since the air conditioning was very much appreciated by all.
Dean Davis: Gerry passed away in October. Greg came home from Guam, and again for Thanksgiving. The girls did the Thanksgiving dinner, and the guys went hunting. I went to Florida in March with Cindy, and the boys for the first week, and Greg came back for a third time for the year, with Steve & Penny down for the second week. In May, I was dumped by my old company and I went on a driving trip to CA to visit Ron & Barb for a 2 ½ week visit. I headed home for six days of driving with sightseeing. Gerry’s sister, Martha, passed away three weeks ago. The kids are all doing well. Greg is coming home for his fourth visit this year during the third week of September! Steve & Penny are status quo. Cindy is doing well with the boys. Becky and John are status quo. Megan and Maci have moved back to KC.
Jim Davis: Anna is a freshman at Hope College, and living on campus. Ryan is back in school, and made the soccer team. We went on our first cruise. We went to Europe for Spring break. We went to Amsterdam, to Brussels, to Germany, and to Italy where we found Roseanne’s relatives. Ryan went to camp at CO. Anna had a seminar to go to. Bob & Kay: Oldest is finishing degree at school, and husband is wanting a van for work. Ben is still working for degree and working. Nathan finally finished welding degree. Ben was coaching a swimming team, and is restoring a GTO. Naomi will be a junior this year. Bob & Kay went to the camp for one week to see Naomi. Naomi will be a counselor next year at the camp. Kay is teaching for 2 nd year, but had been let go, but was hired back half time. She is hoping to get back full time.
Mike Davis: I graduated with a degree in Ministry. I am back working with Profician Computers. Michelle, and I, were married in December. Michelle’s sons, Jon, Nic, and Cody were introduced to the family as the newest members as well. Jon lettered in three sports in school and is going to be a freshman with varsity letters. He is also a black belt. (Dwight ran the mile in 4:39!)-Side note from Dean.
Nic went to junior league world series, but did not place. Cody took up BMX, and will be in sixth grade. He wants to try out for the cross-country team. Went to FL for Spring break.
Jean Blaine: It is pretty much status quo for everyone.
Ruth Price: Daughter has been ill, and everything else is status quo.
Marge: Fred & Karen have a second apartment house. Chris & Marc have a new addition, Vivian, and the business has been doing well. Marc’s landscaping is doing well. Mitzi is in own house. Rod’s son Phil is still in Chicago.
UPDATE: Barb & Ron were at Claudia’s wedding. Barb went though Chemo again and the results are not good. She is starting new Chemo with a new drug next week. The house was flooded from a toilet running over for one week while they were away. Tim is working as an A/C mechanic. Holly is back in Modesto working as a bartender. Heidi is in LA and lost her old job. She is currently working at a local college. Jeff & Maria had a baby boy.
$130 was collected for next year’s reunion.
